Dickinson Gleeson have been recognised as one of the 2021 eprivateclient Top offshore law firms. This award is as a result of a survey of more than 50 private client offshore law firms across the globe. It recognises firms that specialise in forming offshore trusts, foundations, other private wealth structures and advising on international wealth management. The firms ranked operate across multiple and single jurisdictions.
Managing partner, James Dickinson said: “To be recognised during these unprecedented times is testament to Dickinson Gleeson’s ability to deliver top quality service and advice to our clients in a personal, efficient and timely manner. I am extremely proud of the team”
Dickinson Gleeson is delighted to have picked up
three awards at the Citywealth IFC Awards
2021. The firm won in the Boutique Law Firm of the Year category, an award it
has now achieved four years’ running. In addition, Dickinson Gleeson struck
gold for the Litigation Team of the Year award, beating off strong opposition,
including other leading Channel Islands and UK law firms. Finally, the firm is
delighted that partner Craig Swart won gold in the Lawyer of the Year – Channel
Islands & Isle of Man category.
The wins for Dickinson Gleeson, during an unprecedented time in world history, are
further testament to the firm’s ability to punch above its weight and compete
successfully against the major offshore law firms.
Partner Craig Swart said: “The firm’s strategy of avoiding the more ‘layered’ structure of the larger firms, greater partner approachability and the generalist, can-do mindset displayed by all members of the team has been thoroughly vindicated. It is especially pleasing to win IFC Litigation Team of the Year in this most challenging of years. On a personal note, I am delighted to have landed gold as Lawyer of the Year (Channel Islands & Isle of Man).”
For
the fourth year running, founding partners, James Dickinson and James Gleeson,
have been recognised as ‘Global Elite’ lawyers in the Private
Client Global Elite Directory 2021. In addition, senior
associate Pierre Ali-Noor has been listed as ‘One to Watch’. The
directory identifies the world’s most respected lawyers advising UHNW clients
as nominated by peers within the private wealth industry. Each year the list is
narrowed down to just 250 from over 6,000 nominations.
We are also proud to announce that James Dickinson and James Gleeson have been included in the 2021 edition of the #Spears500 list (top recommended for offshore). for the last 3 years running. In
addition, Dickinson Gleeson has been shortlisted for Team of the Year – Litigation
Department award and partner Craig Swart has been nominated for Lawyer of the Year
– Channel Islands & Isle of Man award.
Citywealth’s International Financial Centre Awards were established to highlight the excellence of the advisers and managers in the private wealth sector in the major international financial centres. These latest nominations continue to demonstrate Dickinson Gleeson’s ability to undertake work of the highest quality and complexity, the firm’s focus on client service (which resulted in the firm being recognised as one of the top four firms in Jersey in a 2020 Legal 500 client survey) and the ability of its lawyers.
Partner Craig Swart said:
“On a personal level I am delighted to have been shortlisted
for this award. It provides recognition for my practice in the private wealth
sphere. I am also very pleased that we, as a smaller law firm, have been short
listed for the Team of the Year – Litigation Department award, as this provides
recognition for the quality of the work being undertaken by the firm in its
other core practice area. Our being shortlisted for the Boutique Law Firm of
the Year award is the icing on the cake.”
The awards are judged by an expert panel and an online vote
which closes on 5th February 2021 and will be announced at a virtual
Gala on 23rd February 2021.

disputes work.”
